Hot off a ratings surge this past January for the Golden Globes, the production team of Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, of White Cherry Entertainment, will return to once again serve as executive producers and showrunners. Weiss and Kirshner also handled the Globes this past January.
The news comes as the Globes and CBS announced that submissions are now open for the 82nd Golden Globes, which are set to air live on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS. (The kudocast will also stream in the U.S. on Paramount+).
Deadline for film and TV submissions is Monday, Nov. 4; those entries can be found here. Nominations will be announced on Monday, Dec. 9.

Dick Clark Productions is behind the Golden Globe Awards, which this past January averaged 10 million viewers up nearly 50% from the previous year and scoring its largest audience since 2020. (The bump came despite rocky reviews for host Jo Koy.) According to the Globes, the telecast was the third-largest live-streamed CBS special event on Paramount+ ever.
